Ortholinear Custom Keyboard

In a search for an ergonomic keyboard layout, I set out to make my own split keyboard completely from scratch. This keyboard runs on custom firmware that has freedom for layering and different input modes. Furthermore, I utilized a serial protocol that allows the two halves to seamlessly transmit data. As for the mechanical construction, I went with a gasket-mounted design where the PCB and plate are isolated from the case by a layer of soft silicone. This provides the user with a quiet yet robust typing experience.
