Modular Analog Synthesizer

This project is my take on a scalable and robust Modular Synthesizer platform. The setup is comprised of a bank of sawtooth oscillators and an 8 step sequencer. The oscillators are capable of control voltage that help the user tune for the desired pitch and tone, while the sequencer, equipped with an adjustable clock and pattern selection enables rhythmic freedom. Most of the structural design is constructed from 3D printed PLA plastic and assembled using heatsink inserts and screws. I implemented a unique magnetic power rail design that allows for each module to be "snapped" to one another feeding the modules with the necessary dual power supply voltage.
The design has undergone many different iterations in an effort to find the right balance between aesthetics and functionality. Right now the modules are mounted on a "euro-rack" style case that I cut out of acrylic and assembled using 25x25 extrusions.
