Drone Autopilot Flight controller Test Fixture

Worked with a team of mechanical engineers and production assemblers in order to optimize a subsystems test bench. This all in one unit would be able to test all of the communication protocols on the board, SPI, UART, I2C with loop back wire harnesses and a external OLED screen. When designing the topology I paid close attention to how people interacted with the board, taking notes on ways to provide accessibility to all ports and help reduced cable fatigue. The back plate was cut out of acrylic with clamping fixtures that would clamp each component (GPS, USB to Ethernet adapter, APM power module). Overall, the finished result allowed the testing engineers to quickly validate each boards functionality of interest.
